About the Department
The Department of Pharmacy Practice at the Texas A&M Irma Lerma Rangel School of Pharmacy is dedicated to providing excellence in the scholarship of pharmacy practice in the areas of learning, discovery and clinical practice. The pharmacy practice faculty members embrace collaboration with each other, the pharmaceutical sciences faculty, preceptors and other health care providers.
Dean Reddy Announces New Department Head of Pharmacy Practice
Please join me in welcoming George Udeani, PharmD, DSc, FCP, FCCP to the Texas A&M Irma Lerma Rangel School of Pharmacy School as Clinical Professor and Department Head of Pharmacy Practice.
Dr. Udeani comes to us with more than 25 years of clinical pharmacy experience and expertise. He was most recently the Director of the PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program at the Corpus Christi Medical Center and as Clinical Pharmacy Manager for HealthTrust. Dr. Udeani was an active preceptor for the Rangel College of Pharmacy from 2010 to 2019 and was named the Preceptor of the Year for 2019. He is a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacology and the American College of Chest Physicians. Dr. Udeani earned his PharmD degree from the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy.
Dr. Udeani is located on the Kingsville Campus in Room 205, and his phone number is 361.221.0700. His assistant is Ms. Rachel Garza, who is located in Room 202 at 361-221-0701. Dr. Udeani is a member of the School’s Executive Committee, and as Department Head, he is responsible for providing positive and motivational leadership for every faculty member, staff member, and student in Pharmacy Practice to promote the success and professional development of every member of the team and to achieve departmental and college strategic goals.
