Admitted International Students

Any Texas A&M University student who is not a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident is considered to be an international student.

Your classification as an international student is completely separate from your classification as a resident or non-resident for tuition purposes. Residency status for tuition purposes is dependent upon the length of time you have lived in the state of Texas. Classification as an international student is dependent on your immigration status. Therefore, it is entirely possible that you could be considered a resident for tuition purposes and still be classified as an international student.

International Student Check-In

All new international students beginning their first academic program at the Texas A&M University Health Science Center for the fall term are required to complete the New International Student Check-In process with International Student Services (ISS) in order to register for fall classes. The purpose of International Student Check-In is to confirm that your information is accurate and up-to-date on both your International Student Services and your Texas A&M Health Science Center records.

This check-in process must be completed prior to registration.
