Mai Nguyen Endowed Scholarship Military Preference
The Mai Nguyen Endowed Scholarship is available to enrolled P1, P2, P3 and P4 PharmD students at the Texas A&M Irma Lerma Rangel School of Pharmacy for the 2024-2025 academic year, but preference is given to Pharm.D. students who are an honorably discharged U.S. Military Veteran, Active Duty, Reserve or Guard Member.
In Honor of Dr. Victoria Pho's beloved mom, Mrs. Mai Nguyen, memorial scholarships have been made available to College of Pharmacy students to keep her mom's teachings and legacy alive in the hearts of many who loved her.
Number of Awards and Award Amount
One (1) $1,000 scholarship.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be enrolled at the Texas A&M Rangel School of Pharmacy PharmD Program for the AY 24-25.
- Be in good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Preference given to a PharmD student who is an honorably discharged U.S. Military Veteran, Active Duty, Reserve or Guard member.
Submission Requirements
- A typed one-page, single-spaced essay, how you meet the eligibility requirements, how the funds will be used and your career goals.
- An application
The required supporting documents must be uploaded at the time the completed application is submitted in order to be considered.
Please submit your application and supporting materials by 5 PM on February 1st, 2024. Scholarship recipients will be notified by May 2024 and funds will be disbursed at the start of the 2024-2025 academic year.
