"The ASPIR²E program greatly helped me as a student. I was able to do well enough on the PCAT to get into the pharmacy program. I also met a lot of my current peers and professors. I also was able to utilize my iPad so that way I had a smooth transition for the majority of my classes. To others wanting to be a part of the program, stick with ASPIR²E because it will help you not only be successful in pharmacy school, but you will more than likely get into the Texas A&M School of Pharmacy if you are committed and determined. Lastly, I would say that it is very possible to be successful if you believe in yourself and you work very hard in this program.”

"My experience in ASPIR²E had its challenges. Not only had I not been in school for a few years, but I was also working full time. The program allowed me to refine my time management while giving me more confidence in my abilities to handle the stresses of the material. Pharmacy is and can be a challenge; however, having a good sense on how to prioritize and distribute your time makes a huge difference. Additionally, the courses provided in ASPIR²E were very reflective of the first semester and the professors that taught them. I would tell students to participate in ASPIR²E if there’s another opportunity. If the program would be offered in the summers in between each year per your cohort, take advantage. ASPIR²E gave me the opportunity to gain friendships that have lasted throughout the semesters in and outside the classroom, allowed me to be more familiar and comfortable with staff, and granted me with the opportunity to gain and become a mentor to my peers.”

"During my time in the ASPIR²E program, I was able to participate in group projects and presentations. I really enjoyed this as I was able to work with my future classmates and make friends! The ASPIR²E program helped me form a schedule and plan for the upcoming semester. We were also provided with presentations from instructors, administration and upperclassmen regarding what to expect, which helped calm my nerves before starting pharmacy school! It is because of this program that I feel right at home when I’m at school. Having worked with the faculty and some of my current classmates during the ASPIR²E program has allowed me to feel connected to the school right from the beginning. It will help you become everything you ‘ASPIRE’ to be!”

"I started off in the ASPIR²E program in Track 1. I have completed both Track 2 and the pre-matriculation track as well. Through all of the tracks, all of the staff involved were very helpful and willing to answer any questions I had or assist me in any way possible. The information we were supplied with was very useful and helped me incredibly during the process of applying to and preparing for pharmacy school. The student mentors were very friendly and answered any questions I had to the best of their ability. If I asked a question and someone did not know the answer, they put me in contact with someone who did have an answer. What I found especially beneficial was being able to meet and become familiar with some of the faculty from the school. ASPIR²E has helped me through the entire process of applying to and preparing for pharmacy school. There is so much useful information, tips, and resources provided in this program and I utilize every bit of it. Getting to interact with current pharmacy students is also a huge benefit to participating in the program and was personally one of my favorite parts. Everyone is so incredibly nice and helpful. I recommend the ASPIR²E program to anyone I meet who is wanting to attend pharmacy school.”
