Mai Nguyen Endowed Scholarship (GPA 3.0-3.5)
The Mai Nguyen Endowed Scholarship is available to enrolled P1, P2, P3 and P4 PharmD students at the Texas A&M Irma Lerma Rangel School of Pharmacy for the 2024-2025 academic year.
In Honor of Dr. Victoria Pho's beloved mom, Mrs. Mai Nguyen, memorial scholarships have been made available to College of Pharmacy students to keep her mom's teachings and legacy alive in the hearts of many who loved her.
Number of Awards and Award Amount
One (1) $1,000 scholarship.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be enrolled at the Texas A&M Rangel School of Pharmacy PharmD Program for the AY 24-25
- Demonstrate financial need. Need is to be determined by the applicants FASFA, TASFA, or ISFAA on file with the TAMU Office of Financial Aid. If a student does not have one of these on file, they will not be eligible for any need-based scholarships.
- Demonstrate having participated in extracurricular activities.
- Be in good academic standing with a cumulative GPA within the range of 3.0 to 3.5.
- Demonstrate leadership.
- Have an interest in a career as a pharmacy educator and/or a career in patient care with a geriatric focus.
Submission Requirements
- A typed one-page, single-spaced essay describing financial need, how you meet the eligibility requirements, how the funds will be used and your career goals.
- An application
The required supporting documents must be uploaded at the time the completed application is submitted in order to be considered.
Please submit your application and supporting materials by 5 PM on February 1st, 2024. Scholarship recipients will be notified by May 2024 and funds will be disbursed at the start of the 2024-2025 academic year.
