About the PGY-2 Internal Medicine Residency
This ASHP-accredited specialty residency in Internal Medicine is a one year post-doctoral training program designed to prepare exemplary practitioners and educators for entry into academic clinical pharmacy practice positions. The purpose of the program is to prepare our residents to excel in the provision of pharmacy clinical care to internal medicine patients.
After completion of this residency, the graduate will be able to:
- establish a practice site in internal medicine
- establish a teaching service for pharmacy students and residents
- prepare and present didactic lectures and seminars
- conduct scholarly research

- Internal Medicine I - IV, six weeks each

How to apply
Applicant Qualifications
To be a candidate for an onsite interview, applicants must meet the following:
- Earned Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited degree program (or one in process of pursuing accreditation) or have a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC) certificate from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP)
- Completed an ASHP accredited PGY-1 residency or PGY-1 residency in candidate status
- Eligible for licensure in the State of Texas within 60 days of residency start date
- Participate in the ASHP Residency Match Program.
